Lunch, Reunion & Birthday at Chili’s Grill & Bar


Cilantro Pesto PastaIt’s been a while since I blogged about a food trip and I’m glad to share this monumental event ( chuz) because I was with my friends and former colleagues. Actually it’s Unni Jovy (of Verjube Photographic)’s post birthday bash  and she requested na mag-lunch date/ reunion kami at chan-chara-ran – Chili’s Grill and Bar sa 2nd floor Atrium, SM Megamall.

Being frugal and picky eater – yan ang ilang factors kaya bihira rin ako  mag-food trip well of course iba rin kasi pag okay ang kasama mo. I don’t want to waste money but I’m willing to pay for a sumptuous meal which fortunately nai-offer naman sa akin sa   yummy Chicken Cilantro pesto Pasta ( sprinkled with Pica de gallo) ng Chili’s Grill & Bar.  Nice choice Hoshi because kahit wala pang maki-share  ay kaya kong ubusin O (burp)! Yung pagka-pesto nya ay hindi matapang so dun sa mga ‘di gulayin ( ay gulayin nah) or first time sa ganitong klase ng pasta go for it. By the way, shrimp ang isa pang choice if you like seafood.

Panalo rin ang kanilang  Triple Dipper  ( na pinagsama-sama ang Chicken Crispers, Wings Over Buffalo and  Southwestern Eggrolls). Sa tatlong appetizers na narito ay mas pinagpiyestahan ko ang Southwestern Eggrolls and…  contrary to my speculation it’s  easy to chew and  very tasteful.  Now, if you like unlimited chicha – they  have Bottomless Tostada chips complete with guaranteed flavorful salsa.  Yung salsa, tomato sya e pero masarap malayong malayo sa tomato catsup or tomato sauce (memasabi).

Chili’s Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad

Aside sa Pasta, ang isa pang must -try for me sa isang resti ay ang salad.  Actually di ako mahilig sa gulay pero occasionally  I’d like to  try green salad to breakaway from usual meat stuff (chuz). Sa isang salad, nakakabusog na rin itong Chili’s Boneless Buffalo Chicken. Well pang maramihan talaga yung order pero yung gulay naman hindi tinipid at hindi ka magtatapon because even yung nilagay na tinedted na tomato (arte lang) ay awesome ang taste.

Umorder din sila ng Fire Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Quesadilla na actually ‘di ko sure kung yun nga pero hindi ko na sinubukan. why? Ang fear ko ay baka magbaklasan ang guitar stings sa teeth ko and actually hindi ako mahilig.  Ang isa pang hindi ko na sinubukan ay ang Beef and Chicken Fajita.

Lunch Date with Ex. Colleagues = Reunion

Hindi masarap ang lunch kung wala ang kwentuhan and mas masarap pa sa dessert yang mga kumustahan.  I was with this group for almost 7 years so hindi kataka-taka yung closeness and attachment.  In fact, I couldn’t stay that long sa company kung hindi rin sa kanila and kaya ang hirap umalis because of them. So I’m glad that we’re okay and growing sa iba’t ibang landas na tinatahak namin ngayon. I hope we can do this traditionally sa Chili’s Girll & Bar man o sa iba and ako sa iba ko pang ex-colleagues sa Quezon City and Makati – I miss them too.
