“We are here because this is our most awaited, we always look forward to this, and we are all excited to join the camp. It is a free camp for everybody who is able to secure a pass, a pass means you have to audition,” panimula ni Maestro Ryan Cayabyab (Mr.C) sa media launch ng 7107 Music Nation’s Elements National Singing-Songwriting camp na nadaluhan ng inyong lingkod bilang blogger.
Aim to give an artistic experience
Sabi nga ni Ebe “Hindi mo araw-araw na mapagsasama-sama sa iisang mesa sina Gary V, Jay Durias at Mr. C, ang hirap noon it’s almost impossible.
Saka ang dami mong matutuhan gaya ng Contemporary Philippine Music History: An Overview, The Voice: The Science Behind Vocal Production, Basic Music Creation & Melody Writing, The Story in Your Head: Lyric Writing, What is Team? What is Collaboration?, Band Talk, Music Publishing Know Your Rights, Using Social Network to Market Your Music” The Music Producer: Making a Demo, Getting Started in the Music Business, Stage Performance: Top 10 Tips, at Responsibilities of A Songwriter.”

At ilan pang take note.
- Mayroong Breakout session/presentation/panel critique… the breakout sessions will be about the basic music creation.
- Mayroon ding arranging session –“So this thing will open up their eyes na ‘ah ganito pala ang technique ni kwan…ganun ang style ni kuwan.’ Which means na open for reinterpretation for using different techniques,” sabi ni Mr.C.
- May team building especially dun sa topic na collaboration kasi sabi ni Mr. C “Because we believe in songwriting sometimes it’s good to collaborate. Like most of them ay mahilig lang sila sa sumulat on their own. But collaboration is part of life because many bands have to collaborate; band members need to collaborate their songs. Sometimes there’s a lead composer and the other ones are nakikigulo or nakikisawsaw.”
-
Bagong dagdag nila yung Stage Performance (top 10 tips) ni Audie Gemora “I needed something like that so people starting to be singers-songwriters have a better way to communicate to their audience apart from closing their eyes while singing. Although that’s the best way to do it.
“Iba-ibang personality, from all walks of life, at iba –iba ang style nila. Pero what was surprising when it came down to it everybody was able to work together. And actually became friend s out of it,” impression ni Gabby Alipe sa mga nakaraang campers. “Even ‘yong mga mentors, I guess, it was an humbling experience to be part of something na you really see how rich ‘yong talent natin sa Pilipinas. Even (doon sa) akala mo amateur level you pick up something along the way, very spiritual and eye opening for everyone.”
Wait for my next blog post.
