Philippines is a well-known archipelago with lots of natural wonders. Say something about beach, biodiversity, Underground River, white sands, serene lake, calming bay etcetera- we always have place to offer. However there’s one important thing that actually hassles trippers and travelers- convenient transportation in the sea. At the 8th Sea-Ex on February 19 to 21, 2015 (Hall 1 & 2 of the SMX Convention Center), guests will enjoy a enjoyable boatshow and premier nautical lifestyle event  that surely pump up our dream to sail (with Fun and Pride) in the Philippines.

 You’re looking for Business ideas

Startup, innovative businessmen or OFWs especially seamen should attend  Sea-Ex to familiarize yourself with available products and services in the country.  Here, you’ll see exhibits of manufacturers and distributers of sail boats, boating accessories, water sports equipment, fishing gear, marine safety and rescue products, summer apparel, and yachts.

By the way, HeadSail, Inc. (co-organizer of the European Chamber of Commerce) of Mr. Angelo Olondriz is a proud Filipino boatbuilding company and avid promoter of leisure boating industry.

You love To Travel, Water

If you think that you will miss half of your life if you don’t travel and experience water adventures, I absolutely agree!   There always fears to conquer, islands to discover, and cinematic views to witness. In our talk with  Mr. Olondriz, coming to  must-discover islands like Tambobo island in Negros is going to be easy- breezy if  there are cruise ships and  leisure boating. In fact, you could probably avoid several (boat/ bus) transfers with leisure boats. Ayon sa kanya, you can own a leisure boat for at least Php50,000.

Meantime, if you like to know resort getaways mayroon din sa Sea-Ex and another exciting activity there is Philippine Home Boat Builders Yacht Club’s boat building demo for the family.  Ituturo din nila ang ang pag-build cost-friendly sail boats.

You want to discover  the possibilities of Philippine maritime industry

Aaminin ko na personally one of the industries na hindi ko gaanong napapansin ay nautical businesses lalo na ang boating industry.  Sa pakikipag-usap namin with Mr. Olindriz I realized so many things if we make it more booming:

Patalastas

  • Alternative transportation– left and right, we see bodies of water. Ayon kay Mr. Olondriz you can go from Batanggas to Manila everyday if you use boat. Ganoon din kung trip mo na mag-travel from Binondo to Makati. Oo nga naman, if we check history ganun naman talaga ang transportation. In fact, baka makatulong pa ito to encourage our society to clean our bays and rivers (sana!)

Additional jobs especially for seamen – I have uncles, neighbors, former classmates and actually I know so many men and women na nagtatrabaho as seamen and seawomen. They all working sa ibang bansa or international shipping companies.  If the nautical industry is robust, possibly we don’t say “goodbyes” Filipino seamen, but more “welcome home” and “mabuhay.” They will prefer to work and retire sa bansa.  Bukod sa kanila,  marami rin ang mabibigyan ng trabaho  gaya ng boat makers, tourist guides, at iba pa.

  • Boost Philippine economy and tourism

The Sea-Ex: The 8th Philippine Boatshow & Nautical Lifestyle Expo is also supported by the Tourism and Promotions Board and a “traditional trade exposition as it strives to create awareness, growth and change within its field while offering the best deals for everyone’s summer needs.”
