iBlog the Finale: Uso pa ba ang Blogging? How blogging has changed me?

iBlog the Finale na raw ang #iBlog15 kaya kahit part ng new year resolutions ko na maging choosy sa pupuntahang event (as if  marami akong invites) at may works to do ako that day ( bukod sa labada ),  I decided to attend. No deep reasons, I just want to attend. But in the end, the reward is immeasurable—reflection, refreshment, relate, reinforcement, and rediscovery.

For recap there were three discussions at the iBlog the Finale:

1. How Blogging Has Changed the Philippine Internet Space – ang mga panelista ay binubuo nina ( l-r) below) Tonyo CruzRuben Licera, at Jane Uymatiao

2. Bloggers: Crossing Boundaries – ang panelista ay binubuo nina (l-r)  Carlo Ople, Chad Ting RamosJoemar Belleza, at Apple Allison (not in the picture below)

3. Bloggers: Monetization & Competition – ang panelista ay binubuo nina (l-r in photo below)  Anton Diaz, Fitz VillafuerteVince GolangcoEarth Rullan, and Bert Azura Padilla

Sa post na ito ay I would like to cite the meaningful tips na maaalala ko at reflection ko habang nakikinig ako sa kanila.  Ito ang mga ‘yon:

iBlog the Finale: Blogging no more?

Patalastas

  • Buhay pa ba ang blogging? O

It also makes them searchable online, which make them more relevant sa internet users .

iblog 15, the finale of Philippine Blogging Summit?

Alam n’ya na matagal na ako nagba-blog and this is one of passions. But I understand that he’s just one of the many social media users who follow and see the effectiveness of influencers.

BUT

For the experts, and digital marketing people—they know the answer. And not only them, but all individuals who search online to know (to order) the products/services they want. These searchers, no matter how many or few, are most likely sure buyers than “likers” only.

iBlog15:  How Blogging Has Changed Me?

Nasabi ni Ma’am Jane Uymatiao na somehow yung direksyon ng ibang bloggers or other content creators ngayon is to be extension of PRs or to be social media influencers. She encourages everyone to not lose own voice. It make someone relevant and valueble.

Jane and Tonyo ( happy in the middle)

By redefining my core values. Siempre I am also aiming to gain more ng mga ‘yon. Ang akin lang ay I’d like to balance while leveling up ang aking pagiging content creator.

Dapat make a stand sa gusto mong sabihin.

I don’t like also to compromise my other passions or aspects in my life. And sa aspeto ng blogging I consider myself bilang passion-driven blogger.  There many ideas na masarap patulan. But I rather be conservative, than to go all out. It’s not pride, sinong ayaw kumita? Hindi nga ba’t nagba-blog din ako about money making and business. But mahalaga pala talaga sa akin ang protektahan ang aking core values—my welfare, my art, my privacy. I think that’s one of the great reason why I’m still blogging.

Personally, I believe that invisibility is superpower.

By experiential learning. Kung usapang personal growth (kasama na ang professional growth), I gain more than I can ask for in blogging. Before I thought ang laki ng kontribusyon ng aking propesyon sa aking pagiging blogger. Tinitingnan ko ito as other avenue to practice and share ‘yong mga nalalaman ko sa trabaho. Pero alam mo baliktad.

Blogging has changed my career mindset and the way I approach life.

Kahit pa ang weaving, dancing, creating lantern, managing family business, creative writing, architecture, reconstruction/ construction of cultural heritages, realty, filmmaking, philately, songwriting, boating, photography, anemia, baby massage, painting, car maintenance, at maraming-marami pang iba.

How to maintain your car?
Anemic ka ba?
boating sagot sa traffic?

Sa pamamagitan din nito lumalim pa ang kaaalaman ko sa personal finance—naka-attend ako sa seminars about wealth creation, culture and arts—I was even invited to cover Taboan in Subic and  Giant Lantern Festival in San Fernando Pampanga, marketing, selling, freelancing, and more.

Ang gusto ko  rin sa blogging events such as iBlog ( and even WordCamp and Blogapalooza)  ay maraming batikang bloggers na actually nagbibigay ng great tips on how to handle your career/ life. Iyong hindi ka lang happy to do what you love, but earn and grow from it.

Ganito rin ang say ni Carlo Ople sa iBlog the Finale, who’s very vocal that he’s all for monetization. He’s right sa statement n’yang passion should be sustainable.

To aim to live a meaningful life. Blogging also allows me to think and to do things that extraordinarily.  I learn and experience different community involvements or social interactions. JJ Disini, Fitz Villafuerte, Randiel Tiogson, Chinkee Tan, Jayson Lo, Carlo Ople, Vince Golangco, Tonyo Cruz, Jayvee Fernandez, Danny Arao, JB Solis (of PEBA), Prof. Felipe De Leon (NCCA), AA Yaptinchay, Richard Paglicawan, Donald Lim at iba pa.

I am proud na sa minsan sa buhay ko ay naging ako ng Online champion ng Habitat for Humanity, campaign to list thresher sharks as one of the endangered species, promoter of Philippine Culture and the Arts. I am also glad that I can help/exchange messages with different people.

When I started blogging, I was relatively young professional. Mayroon na akong little bit skills at experiences na napagyaman ko rin naman sa work at offline experiences ko.  But I think na-fast forward  yung growth ko kasi naging blogger o content creator ako.
